In today's episode, we see how the writer understood the New Covenant that God spoke to Jeremiah about. He boldly declares that we now have a way into the holy of holies, and it is through the blood of Jesus Christ. We also learn that the veil was not the curtain inside the Temple, but it was the flesh of Christ that was torn. Because of this, we have full assurance of faith that causes us to draw near to God. The writer then turns and begins to describe what faithfulness to God truly is. He stresses the importance of gathering together with other believers, and that we should provoke one another unto good works. This is an exhortation against backsliding and against apostasy.
In our Q&A segment, we answer the question: I have read the crossing of the Red Sea in Exodus several times, and then I have read about how Paul refers to this in 1Cor. 10 as the Israelites being baptized by Moses... what does all of this mean?
We know that this episode gets a little heavy towards the end, but we hope it challenges you, blesses you, and is a help to you!
