Paul now completes his defense of justification by faith. His final argument uses the law to support this great doctrine of justification by faith. This nailed the door shut on the Judaizers and legalist.
From the scriptures, Paul shows how Sarah and Hagar as well as Isaac and Ishmael present to us a vivid picture of the stark difference between grace and the law. Paul shows us how the law brings bondage, but grace brings freedom in Christ.
Paul concludes by reminding us that we are not children of the bondwoman. We are children of the free woman. We have been justified by faith alone in Christ alone. Therefore, we are heirs of God, we are joint heirs with Christ.
