We now see a focus on Sarah and the faith she will need to conceive seed and bear a child. Years earlier, Sarah recognized that God withheld her from having a child when it was possible. Now she needs to believe that God could allow her to have a child when it was totally impossible.
God patiently, firmly, gently and lovingly deals with Sarah as He prepares her to bear Isaac. God first works in Sarah in that He may work through her.
As we look at this passage, we must ask ourselves, am I walking by faith or by sight? Do I truly believe that with God all things are possible?
