In Luke 15, Jesus tells the parables of lost things: a sheep, a coin, and a son.
There is a similar theme of celebrating at the lost being found.
There are also some differences, like why does the Shepherd go after the lost sheep, but in regards to the lost son, the Father remains at home waiting for his return?
