As I was praying about a new lens in which to study the Christmas account this Advent season, God gave me Ephesians 6:10-20: The Armor of God.
This week we begin our journey by unpacking why we need armor and delving into the spiritual realm through angelic encounters. These are prevalent as the world prepared for the coming of Christ.
Angels walk on scene with Zechariah and Mary. They interrupt dreams with important messages for Joseph and the wisemen. And then they show up in great splendor in the fields outside of Bethlehem.
This is evidence of a world beyond what we can see. And one in which we play a part. This is why we need to suit up.
