Description

Today we start our summer series Lessons from the Life of David.

We begin in the middle of David's story when one spring he stays home from battle. Relaxing on his roof he takes in the view and zooms in on an intimate moment of a woman bathing.

It happened. It happened because David laid down his vigilance.

When we face life-and-death situations, we find ourselves constantly seeking out potential threats to deflect the intended harm in order to stay safe.

When the threat level lowers, this hypervigilance is no longer necessary, but we do still need to remain watchful. Staying alert is imperative because we have an adversary that prowls around seeking to devour. And we don't want to be ambushed.

Listen in to hear more about the importance of remaining vigilant and how we can stay armed for victory.

Bible verses referred to in this episode:

1 Peter 5:8
