Throughout the 1970s, you could hear Janice Sands singing in Erie bands like Holy Smoke and Mercy Sakes. In the 1980s, she moved to Las Vegas to continue to pursue her musical career, playing in bands, as a backup singer (including a short stint with Wayne Newton), and as a solo act. She continues to perform in Vegas today and was a lot of fun to interview.
