Five Steps To Creating Healthy Habits

In this episode we dive into learning some healthy and motivating tips on how to help you create new habits. 

We first dive into why the word “habit” has a negative definition to it, and unravel why bad habits seem easier to keep than creating new habits. 

Here are some easy steps to follow when trying to create a new healthy habit:

  1. Commit: Declare the habit you want to develop and write it down as a form of commitment. 
  2. State Your Why: state your motivations for developing this habit and how it will benefit you. 
  3. Identify The Cue: Identify what will get your habit going every single time. List the time of day, a location, after an event/action or something else that will help cue the habit. 
  4. Identify Rewards: what reward will you gain from performing this habit? Set a reward after you have performed the habit for a specified amount of time. 
  5. Track & Grow: Track the days you perform the habit, and see how long it will take before it becomes automatic for you.
