You know... that heart sinking moment when you aren't prepared for someones unwanted and unasked for opinion to be hurled your way? We are all entitled to an opinion and I'm a big girl and I can take it but not all the time. If I'm not expecting it, if I'm not prepared for it and if it's from someone I don't want to hear it from then I'm not impressed!! I am really starting to see the difference between giving and receiving advice and giving and receiving an unwanted opinion and I am trying my best to follow my own advice because I definitely muddy the waters myself. Sorry friends!!
So here's my techniques to create my 'Supportive Sisterhood' that are guaranteed to give me the very best advice and not an opinion in sight!!

Dilly Carter!! I know if my house is in chaos it's the first thing that makes me feel so stressed and overwhelmed. Dilly, the organisational guru really supports me in getting up off my arse and get the house into shape! I have her in my head telling me to not over buy, to not hold on to things that don't serve and she most definitely encourages me to not buy into fast fashion, to buy quality and give it the love and respect it deserves. Dilly's voice in my head is the difference between me loving my home and hating my home and since I've channeled my inner Dilly I have been loving my home more than ever!

Luisa Zissman is my go to when I need a little fist bump or nudge to be totally unapologetically myself. She also gives me the confidence to verbally justify my opinions and to embrace the fact I have a voice and I musn't be afraid to use it. When I listen to her speak her mind I so admire her courage to be so authentic - she will stick up for herself, stick up for what she believes in, be fiercely loyal to those she loves and she lives by the sword and dies by the sword and often I need a little sprinkle of Luisa to give me that extra courage to confidently be the real me.

And finally my girl Jojo! Whenver I doubt my business dreams thinking I cannot pour love into both my business and my precious two babies I feel so utterly inspired by Jojo. I don't set limitations on myself and I have certainly stopped pigeon holing my own career and stopped labelling myself because I know Jojo hasn't dont that for herself so why should I?
