Springtime is a special time of year for many reasons, but one of the first is walleye fishing! The great lakes are arguably one of the best fisheries in the world, and the spring walleye run is another data point to that argument.

There are many ways to fish for walleye, but on this episode of 'Network Outdoors The Podcast' Brandon and Justin sit down to talk about jigging for walleye on the Detroit River.

In this episode we will cover topics like:

-How to control the boat with the currents and wind
-Type of fishing pole/reel
-Kind of line? Test of line
-Types of jigs, the weight of jigs,  the colors of jigs
-Where are walleye "hanging out" at?
-How do walleye respond to the bait?

If you have never fished the Detroit River for the spring walleye run, do yourself a favor and do it. The river can be challenging but rewarding.
