The term "camping" has a broad definition depending on who you are speaking with.

Some people look at camping as a fun family activity using tents or pop-up campers.

Others take it a step further and haul travel trailers or 5th wheels with air conditioning, kitchens, full bathrooms, and laundry hookups.

Then there are the our guests today who go extreme by simplifying the gear they use down to fitting everything into a single backpack and go "camping" in the midst of winter with snow covered forest floor.

On this episode of 'Network Outdoors The Podcast' Brandon Malson sits down with Vince, Paul, and Brent from Caswell Customs (@CaswellCustoms) to discuss hammock camping and wilderness survival in northern Michigan. You won’t want to miss this one!!

In this episode we cover topics like:

-how to survive without power or fuel

-identifying potential hazards and avoiding danger

-staying warm off of the ground

-keeping dry

-where to spend money and where to save

-ideal camp setup

-what gear to take that fits in a single backpack

-customizing off road vehicles

-living off the land

-and much more!
