Beach Boyd Sound of Summer Information:
To kick off the 60th anniversary celebration for The Beach Boys, we are updating and reissuing the classic Sounds Of Summer compilation, originally released in 2003 with 30 tracks. Our release date is 6/17.
The title has been a steady seller over the years, with over 4.4M units to date, and we are providing 6 new physical configurations as shown below, as well as a refreshed single disc digital version and expanded three disc digital version.
The Expanded Edition features 80 key tracks over the course of their storied career, all newly remastered, with 24 new mixes including 4 first-time stereo mixes, and 20 new-and- improved stereo mixes, in some cases featuring the latest in stereo extraction technology.
The set also features updated photos and all new liner notes. The LP versions feature color printed sleeves that replicate the original “Capitol Catalog” sleeves that highlight the entire Beach Boys discography.
With the various configs and new mixes, this product suite should satisfy both the casual and hard core Beach Boys fans alike. All 30 tracks on the single CD version will also be available in ATMOS, including Kokomo, which is a Warner track.
