Earlier this spring, Providence Road hosted a suicide intervention workshop with mental health professional Michael McFarland. The whole workshop was about 5 hours, so we picked an hour of the workshop to be our podcast episode for this week. In this hour, Michael is describing what you could call the theology of intervention. How do we as Jesus-followers and people who love God and love others navigate a situation where someone is struggling with thoughts of suicide? Why is it important that we, the Church, engage in this conversation? How do we engage in a helpful way?
