On the evening of October 9, 2018, a family gathering at the Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers turned into a scene of chaos and tragedy. As relatives exited TGI Fridayโs after celebrating a birthday dinner, a gunman armed with what witnesses described as an assault-style rifle opened fire in the parking lot. The targeted attack left two men dead โ 56-year-old Kevin Robinson and 22-year-old Javarcia Riggins โ and seriously wounded a 25-year-old female.ย
Surveillance footage, witness accounts, and over 50 spent shell casings collected at the scene pointed to a calculated ambush. A dark Chrysler 300 was seen speeding away toward Daniels Parkway, and despite a massive law enforcement response and a flood of interviews, the shooter remains unidentified.
