Description

I used to think perfectionism was a great quality, and an important skill to achieve success.  But more often than not, perfectionism does more harm than good.  Striving to be perfect and being hard on ourselves can block us from being present, feeling joy, and can make it hard for us to stay in the "love space".  When our ego tells us we have to be perfect in order to be ____ (happy, loved, etc) we miss out on enjoying and accepting ourselves in reality.

In this solo episode, I felt inspired to share 6 reasons I’ve decided to ditch perfectionism:

1.  Perfectionism is procrastination, and keeps us stuck
2.  Imperfection is actually inspiring--be imperfect and inspire others to do the same
3.  "Perfect" doesn't exist
4.  If "perfect" does exist, it is totally overrated--imperfection is natural and beautiful
5.  Perfectionism is usually based in fear
6.  Letting go of perfectionism can dramatically improve our relationships

Let this episode be a gentle reminder to take it easy on yourself, make peace with your imperfections, and keep going!  Trust that you are already evolving into a more authentic expression of yourself every day.
