Elaine is one of the hotly tipped competitors for the podium at this years Spine race.
Despite her French name Elaine actually heralds from the North East of England. Fortunately she forgave my assumption that she was from the continent and we had a good chat about her preparations for this years race.
We talked about her route into ultra trail running, her upbringing in the North East and how she has made a habit of placing 2nd in big races recently. So we talked about what it would take for her to push passed second place and claim a well deserved victory in the Spine.
We talked about her kit of choice and how she has refined it over the years she has been taking part in Britain’s most brutal race!
