It is an amazing kitchen store in Independence, Iowa! Locally owned, they have bakeware, cookware, cutlery, and Olive Oil/Vinegar tasting! YUM! The name “The Brick Kitchen” is inspired by the building, known as “King’s Hall” that houses the store. Kings Hall was built in 1876 as an Opera House and later transformed into a chicken hatchery giving the building its industrial look and feel. It’s a 20,000 square-foot brick building that even has brick on the ceiling of the store, and some of the original stage wood floor from the days as the Opera House. So cool.
