Description

Feel a need to be able to express yourself in a way that words can’t? There are times in our grieving process that we can’t articulate in words the intense emotions we feel. Yet there is a deep longing to be able to express these emotions in some way that is satisfying & that will facilitate the healing process. Join us in this conversation to hear the power of art therapy in the grieving process.

Today’s guest is Preston Zeller. Preston is a filmmaker and & intuitive abstract artist who was deeply impacted by his older brother’s unexpected death in 2019. He used painting as a form of getting his emotions out and committed to painting for 365 days as a way of healing. From that experience, Preston produced the soon-to-be-released documentary titled The Art of Grieving - Turning Grief Into Greatness. He creates commissioned paintings for others to reflect their grief journey & memory of their loved one. You can find Preston at https://zellerhausart.com/ or on Instagram @prestonzeller

Quote of the Day: “I had to do a deep reflection on why is it that I for some reason think, despite being able to as an individual really recognize my emotions probably better than the next guy, still think I have to somehow walk around with this like straight face on, like everything is OK?”
