Where did the rabbits go?

A 91-Second Story

Written for Appaloosa Radio

In the late 1940s, a four-year-old lives near his grandparents in an old lumber camp on Lake Ballenger, Washington. Each day, he puts on his red rubber boots and follows his grandfather down a scary path to feed the rabbits that the grandfather raises. Once a month, a truck comes and takes some of the rabbits away, but the boy never knows where the rabbits go.

Then, when he is ten, an older cousin takes him hunting and he learns the truth.
