We’re throwing it back to 2008 to look at an old episode of Wife Swap. In Season 4 we see two very different families - The Stockdales and the Tonkovics. Although we will discuss the Tonkovics a little bit in this episode, the main focus will be on the Stockdale family. So let’s go over the basics. In Wife Swap we meet parents, Tim and Kathy, and their four sons Calvin (19), Charles (16), Jacob (15) and James (11). Tim and Kathy are what many people today would consider to be strict, religious parents. They believe in the value of hardwork, and make a concerted effort to keep negative influences out of their children’s lives. As such the boys are homeschooled. When they aren’t doing school they’re usually helping out on the farm. While this lifestyle seems a little extreme to some, it seemed to work for the Stockdale Family. But that was all called into question in 2017 when police responded to a 911 call at the Stockdale Home in Beach City, Ohio.
