Venice, Italy is one of the most picturesque cities in Europe. Founded in 421 AD, the city comprises 118 separate islands connected by hundreds of bridges and almost 200 waterways. Venice is over 1600 years old today, and through its history the city has achieved a booming trade business, substantial wealth, ingenious architecture and many other triumphs. But the city has often seen the darker side of history with rampant plagues, invading armies, and the constant battle of maintaining a city in water. In this episode we’re going to dive into a little bit of the history of Venice before we examine some of the hauntings and spooky legends that this intriguing city has to offer.
