We’re supposed to be able to trust certain people in our lives. Our parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and other people in our family, of course. But if you asked a child about a trusted adult in their lives most of them would mention a teacher. Teachers play such an important role in our lives because of all that they teach us, not just on an academic level, but a social-emotional level as well. Many teachers want the best for their students, but, unfortunately, some teachers are predators, and they may see their students as prey. 50 year old teacher, Tad Cummins, saw his new high school student, 15 year old Elizabeth Thomas, as prey.
