We all know a good urban legend story. From Bloody Mary to The Candy Man, all of us grew up hearing these tales of horror. Some were just told for some good old-fashioned spooks. Some were told a cautionary tale to young people - don’t stay out too late, don’t trust strangers (basically every Grim fairytale ever), don’t be promiscuous. And some are actually based on true events. In 1946, Texarkana (which is a two-county region spanning between Texarkana, Texas and Texarkana, Arkansas) saw a slew of attacks and murders of young couples between February and May. And so a legend begins...
