Dr. Gregory Jones joins The Redeemed Man podcast. Dr. Gregory Jones is the dean of the Duke University Divinity School. Dr. Jones will introduce the concept of “holy friends”—people perceptive and compassionate enough to see through the fictions we’ve constructed around ourselves and help us reach the truth in ways that can change our lives. As he describes it, holy friends are “the people who around us who challenge the sins we’ve come to love, affirm the gifts we’re afraid to claim, and dream dreams we otherwise wouldn’t have dreamed.” And if we can just break free of our isolation and shame long enough to connect with them, they can help us build a closer relationship with God than we might have ever thought possible.
