Tim Porter is a generous, wonderfully funny, incredibly hard working actor and entrepreneur!
Jen buys all of the craft IPA’s she can find for this interview with Tim Porter, and we have an inspirational conversation with this man. Tim is the Artistic Director of Tweed and Company Theatre which produces original Canadian musical theatre in the great city of Tweed Ontario. We chat with Tim about the amazing journey he’s taken with Tweed and Co, how everyone who has an idea for a musical should just write it (and then send it to Tim), and fact that Canadian rural communities want to see stories that reflect their own lives.
Tim has had a wonderfully successful career. He recently received a Broadway World Award for Best Independent Production for “TWEED: A New Canadian Musical” (Writer/Director), and was nominated for The Premier’s Award of Ontario.Other recent credits include, The Drowsy Chaperone, Jack and the Beanstock: The Panto, Les Miserables (Drayton Entertainment), The Last Five Years, Robin Hood (Stirling Festival).
Come hang with us, grab a drink (if you’re not driving), and get your weekly fix of musical theatre banter with beverages.
