Description

Some traditions hold that the Bible should not be taken literally. But what does this mean? Is the Bible literal or not? How can we tell the difference between passages that claim to be literal and those which are not?

In this session we learn that many of the claims about the Bible cannot be understood correctly without dealing with specifics. We know that some passages use poetic, symbolic, or apocalyptic language and some do not. We learn simply method of interpretation where we can know what is true about the Bible.

This session also discusses the claim that no one should impose their beliefs on others.
