This session gives an overview of doctrine, explaining which types of doctrine are essential to Christianity and which doctrines we can disagree about and still stay in fellowship with other believers. The Bible commands us to stay in unity with other Christians even if we disagree with them about some teachings, but the Bible also tells us to separate from some false teachers. How do we know the difference? This session provides an outline and overview of major categories of doctrines so that in future sessions we can dive into details to support specific teachings.
This session is greatly needed in modern churches so that we have a model for how to stay unified in fellowship with other Christians while still separating from people that the Bible commands us to separate from.
