Description

Bill Hare is the CEO and Senior Scientist at Climate Analytics and a climate advocate extraordinaire. He is just back in Fremantle after attending COP27 at Sharma El-Sheik, Egypt. Bill has had a long and impressive career as a climate advocate in Australia and internationally.

At COP27, Bill was part of the delegation for Grenada, a small West Indian island state in the Caribbean. Bill and Climate Analytics have long advised small island states on the implications of climate change.

Bill is also a veteran of COPs – or Conferences of Parties – having attended every one of them in person since COP1 in Berlin in 1995, except for Glasgow last year during the time of Covid. Bill’s views on climate change policy and implementation measures internationally, nationally and locally always command attention.

On his return to Fremantle after COP27  he kindly made this podcast with our editor, Michael Barker, reviewing just what this COP27 achieved and what happens next.  It’s a must listen podcast.
