Description

This is our first Mama Tribe episode discussing topics around mothering through the ages and stages of life with kids. Today we're talking about what happens when you want something and your child wants something different, you have different expectations or you have different desires so how to we combine them and create a harmonious environment. I'm joined by my dear friend's Lara Plutte & Rachael Blair and there are so many great insights and take aways from this conversation.

Lara Plutte is a practicing therapist with a focus on practical tools to care for yourself and others in the present moments of life. It was when she became a mom, 18 years ago, that she truly dove into mindfulness meditation to support her deep desire to be present for, accept, even embrace the wild ride of parenting. Lara now combines her experience as a therapist, a teacher, a writer and a mom to support others in the practice of being present. She has a Masters in Social Work and the Arts, is a graduate of the InsightLA Mindfulness Facilitator Training Program and a wife and mom to two teenagers, two cats, two dogs and one dragon.

Rachael Blair is host of the podcast Raising Vibrant Kids.  She is a wife, mother of 3 and a nurse. By focusing on mind-body-heart awareness, how we create with our thoughts and using emotions as a feedback mechanism, she’s teaching parents and children how to connect to their inner voice.  When we align with that voice, we are able to follow our curiosity, passion, and find so much joy.
