Description

Understanding thyroid health is tricky. It can't always be explained by one lab result, and there's not only one root cause. There are lots of variables that can play a role and cause an issue. But it’s worth starting the conversation, even if we can’t finish it today, because thyroid plays a huge role in your overall health and in your fertility. Today, we start the conversation by explaining what the thyroid is, how it functions, symptoms of thyroid dysfunction, along with the specific lab tests and results you should be on the lookout for. Many may be told "your results are normal!" but taking a closer look ourselves may help more than we think. Often, our personal knowledge of our symptoms may be exactly what we need to get the diagnosis and treatment we need.
