Description

It's our first guest episode of the season and a really brilliant one at that! Yes, we are thrilled to welcome DJ, author and altogether fabulous Fat Tony.

Tony famously doesn’t take requests so we are truly honoured that he has agreed to take on the challenge of quitting 'the white stuff' aka sugar for 2 weeks.

Sugar is one that we can have a bit of a rollercoaster relationship with and you guys don’t need us to tell you that having too much of it ain’t a good thing. Excessive sugar consumption has been linked to a whole host of health conditions such as diabetes type 2, metabolic syndrome, fatty liver disease, obesity and tooth decay to just name a few. Since Tony is a self confessed sugar fiend we thought he would be perfect for the challenge!

The rules: Tony has to completely remove all refined sugar which means no cakes, biscuits, fizzy drinks, ice-cream and chocolate. He can have natural sugar found in fresh fruit and with a focus on including complex carbohydrates, protein and healthy fats.

Can Tony kick the reliance on sugar once and for all and have a more balanced relationship with it? And how does he feel after having completed the 2-weeks without it?

Tony’s book ‘I Don’t Take Requests’ is available here https://www.amazon.co.uk/I-Dont-Take-Requests/dp/B098HB3Z5S
