About the episodeIn this episode, Rose set’s Eve the macro tracking Challenge. Macro tracking is when a person tracks their macronutrients daily - writing down everything they eat and drink. Advocates for macro tracking will say monitoring your nutrients can improve a person’s understanding of their own diet, highlight the nutritional value of food, and can help with weight loss. But skeptics claim macro tracking is time consuming, oversimplifies nutrition and that it creates an unhealthy relationship with food. So, is macro tracking a diligent and effective way of establishing a balanced diet? Or is it not worth the stress? Let’s find out. The challenge: For two weeks, Eve will have to track her diet using My Fitness Pal. Throughout the challenge Eve will take note of how much time she spends daily macro tracking. Eve will also take note of how the challenge impacts her level of stress and whether it has an effect on her relationship with food. About the hostsEve Kalinik is a nutritional therapist and author.
