Description

Patients with aortic valve disease may be candidates for trans-aortic valve implementation (TAVI) or surgical valve replacement. This Grand Rounds Clinical Update is focused around the recent randomized control trial looking at the non-inferiority of TAVI vs. surgical valve replacement in patients with moderately increased operative risk. In addition, the discussion focuses on the clinical applicability of this data and how this may impact the care and counseling we offer to patients.
