Description

My show is a combination of "MTV's The Real World" and "This American Life".

I've saved hundreds of hours of audio recordings from my years as a high school student in the 80's through my graduation from college in the 90's. I want to weave some of these recordings throughout the show where they can be a launching pad to open a discussion on whatever theme might develop that episode.

My longtime struggles with anxiety will certainly play a part in the show. So will my struggles making it in the real world as an adult who hasn't grown up yet.

I want to help people of all ages understand that most of our fears and anxieties are temporary and shouldn't hold us back (even as this is a lesson I'm still learning).

I also think there will be a fair amount of humor in the show. I was such an unreasonably-positive ray of sunshine as a young man that the "older me" will not allow too many pie-in-the-sky plans and dreams and unrealistic perspectives go unaddressed.

But is it possible that the audience (& the host) can learn from the perspectives of this well-meaning but naive young man? I believe it's possible.

I just hope that by speaking honestly about life (through the decades that have come and gone) that my audience will find humor, strength and support as they make their way through their own lives.

I want people to know that they are not alone in this journey of life.
