Description

The problem is not that non-English entrepreneurs and business people do not know English, but that they lack the confidence to speak in English. Sam Pitt’s The English-Speaking Entrepreneur explores the idea that non-native English speakers can indeed communicate well across a variety of business areas such as leadership, sustainability, innovation, and strategy and that it’s not a case of speaking fluent English, but of using it as a tool to solve problems and exchanging ideas.
Interviewing many and varied English-speaking entrepreneurs across South America, ESE explores their journey towards launching and running a new business and what role English played and still plays in their day-to-day work. The aim is to illustrate to other non-native English entrepreneurs that the magic of speaking English is attainable as long as you use it as a tool to communicate and not as something to master. It also encourages all non-native businesspeople to use English, no matter how they feel about it.
