A quiet start to today’s trading follows a quiet night for global markets with the US shut. European stocks managed modest gains despite bond yields in the UK spiking on debt level concerns. Interestingly the FTSE index has held its uptrend since covid, unperturbed by bond yields taking a similar path (they usually have an inverse correlation).
