When we aren't willing to walk away under any circumstances in a dating situation we end up giving all of our power away to other people and outside circumstances.
If you go to a job negotiation thinking to yourself "I NEED this job I'm so broke if I don't get it I don't know what I'll do." You won't have much say in how much you get paid or other terms of the working relationship. It's when we feel like we have no options that we end up settling and being afraid to rock the boat or ask for more.
