On this episode we nerd out with birds & fly fishing. Our guest 👉🏻 Kelsey Bell currently living between Manitoba and Wisconsin has a few passions.
 “To put it simply, I am a bird specialist with a fish infatuation! I grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba and was introduced to fishing as a small child. While in university, I fell in love with birds and decided to pursue a career in bird conservation. I ended up meeting my husband while working on a grassland bird study in North Dakota and he introduced me to fly fishing. For lack of a better term, I was immediately hooked! Back in Manitoba, and thanks to the Manitoba Fly Fishers Association, I learned to target Channel Cats on the fly and I quickly became obsessed. For me, there’s nothing quite like a cat on the fly. Your rod doubles over and the drag starts peeling the instant they hit! Even though Manitoba isn’t your typical fly fishing destination, there is an amazing community of fly anglers here! I’m very lucky to have found some great friends and mentors to show me the ropes.”
