On this episode we take a look in the life of “Alaskan rod co.” owner Matt Crowe. We chat about his journey in the fishing industry, & talk about what it takes to create a Rod Company.
” I grew up in the fishing industry. My grandparents ran a fishing lodge and my parents owned a guide business. When I turned 18, I got my captains license and started working in the family business. When I got older I began working in the medical field until I went back to school and graduated from UAS with my degree in fisheries and started working for ADF&G soon after. In 2020, I decided to take my rod building addiction professionally and founded Alaska Rod Co to give Alaskans an in-state rod company they can rely on.
