This week we are talking about a movie that really kicked off the "young person who is almost always female and more often than not a teen or child is possessed by a grotesque demon and their family members are helpless as the demon takes over until ultimately the family gets some sort of religious figure/demon hunter who performs an exorcism and even though the possessed persons body is horribly mangled they manage to make a full recovery or the demon wins with a wink at the end" subgenre of horror film; The Exorcist!
