This year, the Bay Area Rapid Transit (better known as BART) is celebrating 50 years. The BART has provided fast and efficient travel for commuters from Fremont to all over the Bay Area including San Francisco. It's hard to imagine the Bay Area without it.
In this episode, we sit down with Liz Ames who is the current BART director for the city of Fremont and the surrounding communities. Liz grew up here in Fremont and has heart for the good of the city of Fremont.
In this conversation, she shares a little of her story growing up here in Fremont and what her journey was like becoming the Fremont BART director. As a civil engineer not really interested in politics, in 2018 she took on the challenge of becoming a director for BART so that she could make a real difference in the city of Fremont and all over the Bay Area.
