When babies are taking their first steps, we always encourage them and never undermine their potential. It’s their milestone and so we don’t put them down. Babies show their early wobbles, but when you cheer them on, soon they can do their first steps. The first deal in real estate is the same thing. The first step ignites the fire to continue because you finally push past the fear and see what is possible.
We had some fear with our first apartment deal but we still bought them anyway. We aligned ourselves with somebody who had done over 2000 units to help underwrite it. Afterwards, the light bulb turned on and we wanted to do it 100 more times. When we conquer FEAR or False Evidence Appearing Real, who knows where it can lead.
