We thought this was a really good topic because we get asked a lot on how do you guys, as a married couple, work together and stay happy? So we thought we would just have a fireside chat about marriage and business and investing and let people kind of hear what our lives are like. We are opposites, but yet we aren't. We aren't Yin and Yang, but we are. Our brains are just wired differently. So in this episode we just wanted to share our experiences and how we’ve used that as we've grown.

In our younger years, we seemed to care less about planning for the future. But as we grew older, we started thinking about our nest egg and retirement. In our youth, we spent money and thought, “you only live once.” We have been fortunate to live a great life. We have no regrets because we've just done so many things at a young age including travel. Now, we started to have to make changes because we don't want to keep on just going, spending recklessly because the more we make the more we just keep spending. We recently had a conversation with another of our partners that you are earning $10k a month and then suddenly you get a raise and you're making $12k, it is very easy to spend the additional income. Now you go spend $12k a month. Then you realize you have no more passive income or money to invest because you increased your spending as quickly as you earned that additional income! So that's been a good learning lesson. One of the other things that we talked about was having separate bank accounts. We have been able to manage separately. But we remain equal partners in business and life. We met each other in a time of our lives where neither of us had anything. So we felt like that as we grew and as we build things up, we both deserve all of it.
