1) Experience - You want someone with a proven track record
2) Identify whether an operator or syndicator - If you're working with a syndicator who is not the operator, do your due diligence and dig into the operator.
3) Company values - Do they align with your values?
4) Ask about their worst deal - You want to know how they deal with a deal gone bad
5) Communication - Are they quick to respond with relevant information?
6) Due Diligence - Do the research to the point where they're the people that you want to know, like, and trust with your investment capital.
