What is the best recipe for player development?

Listen as Michael, Leigh-Anne and Coach BJ discuss what has worked (and not worked) for them in the past - and the list of best recipe ideas we came up with to help future parents!

The top 7 things we came up with:

  1. Single focus - single skill with results outcome
  2. Single-player -allow them to have private failure, public success
  3. A spectrum of experience - more variety of teams, coaches, etc
  4. Play - Practice - Play - creating context before skills
  5. 3v3 play - bridging the gap between 1on0 and 5on5
  6. Principles over Patterns - allow players to be empowered to act
  7. Position-less play - attack opportunities as a versatile player!
