The Bible warns us that a very great deception is coming, so great that if it were possible even the elect would be deceived. While we are looking for a deception that is so obvious, I think we sometimes forget that deception is often subtle and can sound an awful lot like the truth. We live in a world where discerning the truth is incredibly difficult and we must be able to recognize a lie no matter how close to the truth it sounds or how it makes us feel.
