Big Idea #1: Take up your cross and deny yourself

• Jesus doesn’t give suggestions in Scripture…He gives commands
• Jesus never asks us to do something He hasn’t already modeled Himself

Big Idea #2: Faith like a child

• We tend to overcomplicate our faith—the need to fully trust and obey 
• There’s something beautiful about asking “why” as kids do—a thirst for knowledge and a hunger for new discoveries about Jesus

Big Idea #3: The cost of unforgiveness

• A “Dead Sea” mentality is a picture of the unforgiving servant. Nothing living flows out from it.
• Our trespasses against God are greater by far than anyone’s trespasses against us.
• Who do you need to forgive?
