In this episode of The Mixing Glass, Antonio Rodriguez joins the Bardtenders to discuss Weber Ranch Vodka live from the ELEVATE Conference sponsored by Chilled Media in Louisville Kentucky. We take a deep dive into the spirit and talk about the nuances that it takes to create a vodka made from agave and its unique place in the world of spirits.

At Weber Ranch 1902 Vodka, we like to say that our spirit is “Born in Jalisco, Crafted in Texas.” The same could apply to our master distiller Antonio Rodriguez! He’s originally from Jalisco, Mexico, and now lives and works in Texas where he utilizes his nearly 20 years of spirits production expertise to craft Weber Ranch Vodka, distilled exclusively from 100% Blue Weber Agave.
Before joining the Weber Ranch team, Antonio was the Production Director at Patrón Tequila in Mexico, managing a team of 1,500 people, and led brand education and consumer insight efforts for the Patrón portfolio in the U.S. At Patrón, Antonio not only oversaw all aspects of the brand’s production, aging, and bottling, he was also responsible for quality control of the agave that was selected for every bottle of Patrón tequilas and liqueurs.
Antonio earned a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of
Guadalajara and a Master's degree in business administration from IPADE Business School in Mexico.
