AW Tozer says, "If we find ourselves irked by external hindrances, be sure we are victims of our own self-will. Nothing can hinder the heart that is fully surrendered and quietly trusting, because nothing can hinder God." Basically, we are the cause of those things that annoy us because if we were truly focused on the right things, we wouldn't be annoyed.
Today, we read about living with others, especially others that don't think like us. Often, it's easier for me to treat others as they treat me, but that isn't Christ's command. So, join me in reading 1Peter 3 and be encouraged!
