David opens his heart to God and bares his soul while asking for forgiveness. He's a man after God's own heart and is a great example for us. He knows he needs God's mercy and forgiveness, just like us.
Likewise, in today's world of war and financial instability, we all need hope. Hope we're forgiven. Hope God is in charge and hope He loves us.
